Return Policy

This Return Policy explains your right to withdraw from a purchase, how to return products, and how we process refunds. It applies to orders placed with Bryxemarvodvak and complements our Terms of Service.

2. Right of withdrawal (consumers)

If you are a consumer (i.e. a natural person who is acting for purposes outside your trade, business, craft or profession), you have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days without giving any reason, in accordance with EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU) and the Dutch Civil Code (Burgerlijk Wetboek).

2.1 Withdrawal period

The withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day on which you, or a third party you nominate (other than the carrier), take physical possession of the goods. To meet the deadline, it is sufficient that you send your communication concerning the exercise of the right of withdrawal before the 14-day period has expired.

2.2 How to exercise the right of withdrawal

You must inform us of your decision to withdraw by an unambiguous statement. You may:

2.3 Effects of withdrawal

If you withdraw from the contract, we shall reimburse all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (with the exception of supplementary costs resulting from your choice of a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed of your decision to withdraw. We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement. We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.

You shall send back the goods or hand them over to us without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your withdrawal to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired. You shall bear the direct cost of returning the goods. You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling of them in any way other than what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning (e.g. opening sealed packaging beyond what is necessary to inspect the product may reduce the value; we will inform you if any deduction is applied).

3. Exceptions to the right of withdrawal

In accordance with the Consumer Rights Directive, the right of withdrawal does not apply to:

If you have unsealed a product that falls under the “hygiene/health” exception, we are not obliged to accept a return for change of mind. We may still offer a voluntary return or exchange at our discretion; please contact us to discuss.

4. Return shipping

Unless we have agreed to bear the cost (e.g. in case of defective or wrong goods), you are responsible for the cost of returning the goods. We recommend using a trackable delivery method and keeping proof of posting. We are not responsible for loss or damage of goods in transit until they reach us. Please pack the product securely to avoid damage. If the product is damaged in return transit due to inadequate packaging, we may deduct an amount for diminished value when reimbursing.

We recommend retaining proof of posting (e.g. tracking number, postal receipt) until the refund has been completed. If the goods do not reach us, we may be unable to process the refund until the matter is resolved with the carrier.

5. Refund processing

We will process your refund as soon as practicable after we receive the returned goods (or evidence of return) and have verified that the return meets the conditions of this policy. Refunds will be made using the same payment method you used for the purchase, unless we have agreed otherwise. If the original payment was by card, the refund will be credited to the same card; processing times may depend on your bank or card issuer (typically 5–10 business days). We will not charge you any fee for the reimbursement.

If you received a discount or free shipping based on order value, and your return reduces the order value below the threshold, we may deduct the difference in delivery cost from the refund, in line with the Consumer Rights Directive (you only bear the direct cost of return; we may charge for the initial delivery if you chose a more expensive delivery option and we had offered a standard option). We will inform you before making any such deduction.

Refunds are processed in euros. If your original payment was in another currency, the amount refunded may be subject to exchange rate fluctuations applied by your bank or card issuer. We do not control those exchange rates or any fees that your bank may apply.

6. Defective or non-conforming goods

If the goods are defective or do not conform to the contract (e.g. wrong product, damaged, or not as described), your statutory rights under the Dutch Civil Code and EU Consumer Sales Directive apply. You may be entitled to repair, replacement, price reduction or rescission, and in certain cases we may bear the cost of return. Please contact us as soon as you discover the defect or non-conformity, and we will guide you through the process. This Return Policy does not limit your legal warranty rights.

7. Business customers

If you are ordering in the course of your trade, business, craft or profession, the right of withdrawal under consumer law does not apply unless we have agreed otherwise. Returns may be subject to separate terms agreed with you. For commercial returns or bulk orders, please contact us to agree on terms.

8. Model withdrawal form

You may also withdraw by sending a clear statement (e.g. email) that includes your name, address, order details and your decision to withdraw. We will confirm receipt without undue delay.
